Inspiration to Reality

In the
Victorian era one would trust Cook to know the best butchers, fishmongers,
greengrocers, spice merchants, and so on; she would judge the quality of the
produce on offer and if it didn’t meet her exacting standards, then watch out.
We work in the same way. Our ingredients are selected, not merely delivered.
If our preferred supplier can’t provide goods that satisfy our exacting
requirements we go elsewhere. Think of Croxford's as your own ‘Mrs Bridges’ and team,
your own personal cook and serving staff.
Our food is
special (see some of our clients comments below). Not so visually stunning that
you are afraid to spoil it; nor so expensive that you have to convince yourself
that it must be worth it. It’s just very, very good. Really.
We only use
foods in season and will not tolerate the use of so-called fresh
vegetables that have flown half way around the world before arriving on your
plate. We make everything ourselves from basic ingredients with the result
that, once tasted, our food is never forgotten. Try it – satisfaction
guaranteed.

Some of the client’s comments we have
received;
“What a memorable day, I fretted over
many things, but NOT ONCE did I worry over the catering because
we all knew it would be perfect – and – it was.”
(Brides mother – June 2008)
“How can I thank you enough for making my
son’s wedding so very delicious and memorable. We enjoyed a
quintessential English Wedding Breakfast, only to be spoiled with the
Italian Menu in the evening. Wonderful! I am still receiving
compliments and enquiries from so many of my very replete and satisfied
guests.”
(Grooms mother – June 2008)
“Thank you so much for looking after us
on Friday and Saturday. Apart from the excellent food it really took
the pressure off the two of us and enabled us to enjoy the
celebrations. The flowers for the table were amazing too!”
(Bride and Groom – May 2008)
“Thank you for the wonderful food served
by your lovely girls on our wedding day. You have received so many
compliments for all your hard work, which we were delighted with.”
(Bride and Groom – June 2008)
“I would like to say a massive thank you
to you and your team, all of whom were wonderful. The food went down
exceptionally well and the compliments were flowing.”
(Wedding Planner – July 2008)
“The lunch was lovely and very much
enjoyed by our guests. It is difficult to know which dishes were most
admired - but it all came in for high praise – and the service was
really excellent.”
(Tea and Luncheon parties - June 2008)
“We had planned our wedding for many
years and in our mind’s eye knew exactly how it should be, and how
wonderful you fulfilled that dream! Thank you for innovative food,
excellent service and a charmed evening.”
(Groom – December 2007)
“Luncheon was a huge success and the food
was fabulous. All the guests were very impressed – especially one of
them, who was a finalist in the BBC “Master Chef” TV series and was very
enthusiastic over the menu, particularly the chocolate pudding!”
(Thames Valley Police HQ luncheon –
December 2007)
“The food you provided today was
delicious – thank you so very much. I really appreciate the care that
you took and the fact that you leave the kitchen (even better than) as
you found it.
(Corporate Golf function – November 2007)
“Most enjoyable, not only interesting,
but gastronomically wonderful too. The canapés were probably the best
I’ve ever had.”

2007)

I often get
asked how we manage to run everything so smoothly, and still keep smiling. The
answer is all in control – control of the food, the cooking, the situation, the
venue and even, in some cases, the clients! We leave nothing to chance and plan
every last detail. Pre-planning is our speciality and events are run with an
almost military style precision. Our staff smile because they know exactly what
they are doing and what is expected of them. Our clients smile because we
exceed their expectations and satisfy their guests. And back in the kitchen we
all smile because we love what we do – and it shows. |
